7/4/23 I called McAfee to extend my LiveSafe service plan. An "engineer" broke into the call insisting my computer had been hacked and he must block it immediately. He harassed and rudely badgered me, took control of my computer, and got my credit card to charge $200 "discounted" for 3 years of stated service coverage. I signed his agreement on line. He gave me Phone #888-831-0985 to contact him directly, insisting, "do not call McAfee." Suspicious, I later called back to McAfee, who finally confirmed Stavcomm is not affiliated and that this was a scam. I cancelled my credit card, then sent an email and registered letter to Stavcomm formally notifying them to cancel my order. I filed a report with BBB, but Stavcom has not replied to either of us as of 9/30/23
