Hi this is Marriott Rewards and we got your name from a recent stay with us (which I have not stayed in a hotel since the pandemic so they are full of crap). Press one to speak to someone "Hi this is James and whom do I have the pleasure of speaking with?" I said you should know you called my number than he promptly hung up

- Twinsburg, OH, USA

Didn't give their name but they said I won a free time share and hotel stay if I give them my information. I told them this is my third time I get a free stay? Wow, it must be my lucky day. He got mad at me and hung up.

- Fresno, CA, USA

I believe it was part of the 'yes' phone scam.

Initially a pre-recorded woman spoke of a free marriott rewards bonus. Then an Indian man came on the line to ask if I was 18 or older, to which I said yes and was put on an indefinite hold by him.

- Venice, FL, USA

Received a call from a local number and the person said we had won a stay as Marriott Rewards members and he then asked if I was over the age of 30 and I replied "yes" He then said "ple[censored]d for transfer" and then we were disconnected. I immediately thought of this scam and tried the number back and of course it is a busy signal.

They stated the were with Marriott rewards and asked if I was over the age of 25 and hung up.
