This is a Facebook Scam. There are right now some 12 million shipping containers available for purchase nation wide. One particular 40' HC refurbished with 3 roll up garage doors on the side was offered in Facebook Market Place for $3,000 plus shipping. But the scammer originally only wanted to know how fast I wanted it delivered - and wish to send me an invoice right away - asking my contact information N, A, Cell Phone # and email address - in order to make a quote of a price. When I asked where this was where I could see it - I was given the address of 10750 Oak Grove Road, Newburgh Indiana 47630. That address is where Obryan Truck Transport - as a bonefide organization exists. When they did answer - they knew of no such shipping container for sale. <><> The purchase invoice - only - only demanded a bank to bank wire transfer for payment of shipping container and delivery costs - $3,300. Using the name of the bank - as First Bank. The payee - Elease Jones. With the bank account number of 88418421 and the routing number of 084307033 and the bank address of 10750 Oak Grove Rd, Newburgh --- the same address of which supposedly the shipping container was located. The person who answer the phone at 214-898-3021 sounded like a drunken man - slurring his words - requiring me to ask him to slow down so I could understand him 3 times. Finally he had the man who identified himself as the Facebook poster - Comas Phiri call me to close the deal. Their only purchase method - bank transfer. Their credit card machine was down right now. Credit card with 256 byte encryption, cashiers' check or COD when delivered and set - are all normal forms of accepted payment. But these guys - simply wanted me to bank wire - transfer $3300 to their account - without seeing or being able to verify that the shipping container was where it was claimed to be located. The response was - drive here - a 5 hour drive and I will meet you and take you to where it is. For all I know - this fellow would have knocked me in the head or otherwise took my life - and robbed me of what I had with me at the time. His cell phone out of Illinois is 618 851-9751. Neither one of these guys answer their phone as if they are a business. William - 214-898-3021 at the Houston phone number hung up on me today as I sent another email - wanting him to respond to me with a clear understanding - with my wanting to know that it was not a scam. He hung up on me - rather unprofessionally and unfriendly -- as if that was his regular way of ending a conversation. I have copies of the FaceBook Messenger contact with Cosmas - and the email contact that I made with William. Nothing I have asked was unfair or unreasonable. There is no doubt in my mind that they are advertising other people's products and scamming the buyer out of whatever cash - by way of bank transfer they can muster from them. And give them nothing in return. There seems to be - no less than 12 million and 1 - cargo boxes abandoned at the US sea ports to buy. I pursued this one - because it was a refurbished unit - with 3 roll up doors on the right side - looked pretty - but I was not willing to be scammed out of my family's hard earned money. We work for what little we get to keep. The public number for Quality Containers again is 214-898-3021 . After William hung up on me - he took his phone off the hook to ring busy - so he would not have to talk with me any more. Quite a professional person - don't you think? So - it is. Beware. They could have sent a toy in a UPS shipping container to put on your mantle to admire for $3300.00
