I got an email from a company claiming that they were from Lightstream Finance and that I had been approved for a loan. I reached out to them wanting to know more information about it. They wanted my personal online banking information, which I was very hesitant to give out. But they were very convincing. They said they deal with over 2,000 customers a day and no one had issues giving it to them. They said because of my low credit score they needed to deposit some money into my account to increase my credit score. I believed every word that came out of his mouth. So I trusted him with my online banking information. They deposited money in my account and told me how much to withdraw. I took the money and went to a Walmart to deposit the money. They told me that they wired in the money to my bank account but my bank rejected it because they thought it was a fraud. So the only other option was I had to go through Moneygram. I had to pay a transaction fee of $450 first which I did. Once I did that I was supposed to get my money that dy Moneygram ran into some technical difficulties so they had to cancel my transaction. They wanted to use Western Union since they did not trust Money Gram. I was asked again to pay $450 for the transaction fee. Once I paid the $450, they told me my pending loan from Western Union was on hold because I needed to pay tax for the loan that I was getting since it was all cash. California tax amount was $350. I paid that fee too. Once I paid that fee they said they needed 2-3 hours to process and get approval. After approval, the MCTN for Western Union would be activated and I could get the cash. I have the MCTN number but it hasn't been activated yet because I checked and called them. I have been waiting for my pending loan for a week now. I have been calling them to ask about the loan and they purposely are ignoring my call. If I get through to them, they hang up on me not wanting to speak with me. I have also been emailing them as well and up to now I have not responded to any of the emails I have sent. The loan officer that I have been working with keeps reassuring me that they are not running a scam. I feel like they are running a scam as I give them money and I get nothing in return. They are not taking money from me but I give them money because I was promised a loan. If they are not running a scam, then why have I not recevied my pending loan which I was promised?
