I received a letter with a check in the amount of $3,650.00. Stating I was a winner of $250,000.00 from the Consumers Sweepstakes Lottery held on May 18, 2016. The check was to help pay the processing fee of 3500.00U S Dollars. I was advised to contact claims agent, Rita Adams. The letter was from a David Hall, promotion manager.

I received a letter in the mail containing a check made out in my name by a 'Liberty Financial' in the sum of $3,600. Within the letter, it was described that I had won $250,000 in lottery sweepstakes. In order to collect my winnings, I had to use the aforementioned check to cover a $3,500 processing fee. I was instructed to contact a Ms. Rita Adams at 877-211-5218 to arrange the delivery of my winnings. The part that stuck out to me and prompted me to contact my local BBB was the instructions at the bottom which insisted I do not contact anyone but my agent regarding the winnings. Thankfully I was able to avoid this scam, beware!

For the past few day's I have been receiving several calls from a strange number that I don't recognize. When the call comes in on my caller ID, the name "George, George" pops up with a 323-210-8431 phone number. When I answered the phone, the caller identified herself as 'Tara' from 'Liberty Financial'. The caller made several attempts to collect personal information and refused to disclose anything else. Thankfully I didn't share any personal information!

I received a call at my mom's house from 323-210-8431 that said they were from Liberty Financial and wanted to talk to my mom. When I asked them what this was regarding they got upset because I wouldn't put my 80 year old mom on the phone. The call came out of Los Angeles, CA. My moms bank account was just hit for $89 from a company that we can't identify out of LA, CA. I suspect the same people were just on the phone with me. When you call the number you get a Magic Jack recording that says the person can't take your call at this time and asks you to leave a message.
