I received an invoice for $3,799.00 for "Advertising and marketing services charges: 'Healthcare & Life Sciences Leaders' individual executive profile for XXX."

I called the company to complain and got the message, "The person you're trying to reach is unavailable, please leave a voicemail."

Clearly sketchy and a complete scam!

I received an invoice for services that were never requested or rendered for nearly $4,000. The Invoice was addressed properly, and looked legitimate. However I believe they assumed our company was bigger than it is, and that the invoice would be paid by accounting without question. The fine print on the bottom of the invoice discloses that the "executive profile" they had created along with advertisement will be removed if payment is not received within 60 days. Payment information request checks or ACH wire transfer and all amounts should be in US dollars.

I was asked to sign off on an invoice for an executive profile in my name with no reference as to where to find said profile. I immediately knew this was not something I had authorized. Upon review of the invoice, I found the following language " Advertising, executive profiles and sponsorships are reserved for a period of 60 days from the invoice date and will only be confirmed upon receipt of payment. In the event of non-payment, advertising, executive profile an sponsorship reservations will be released and cancelled in their entirety."

My attempt to call the company at the number listed on the invoice resulted in a vague voicemail.

We received an invoice in the mail that seemed in line with our marketing efforts and in the same industry. It was for $3799.00. Our marketing team knew nothing about it. I went online and saw someone else received something similar and I wanted to report it as well.

Much like the previous complainant, we received an invoice from this company for services not provided nor services we ever ordered. Description of services states "Advertising and marketing services charges: 'Healthcare & Life Sciences Leaders' individual executive profile for [my name was here]." Obviously this company was hopeful that our A/P department would pay this invoice without checking the validity. Unfortunately for the other complainant, they had already paid the invoice. We did not.

This company sent us an invoice asking for almost $4000 in fees when we have never done (and never will do) business with them. The invoice is made to look official and has no notice on it that it is a solicitation for business. It is made to fool an Accounts Payable person into paying it with the "rest of the invoices" that come in on a daily basis at a legitimate business.
