My wife and I purchased a time share from Kovay Vacations Residences Club on December 11, 2023. Simultaneously, Kovay Vacations' marketing arm was (and still is) Capital Marketing Distribution Systems. We attended a high-pressure sales pitch and ended up buying at the time. Subsequently, Kovay could not accommodate our requested times for vacations. After repeated attempts we became suspect of the company and the promises. In a separate instance, at the time of the sale, the marketing company was to pay us $24,400.00 in May 2025 for marketing our weeks. The May payment never came. The contract also called for guaranteed buyback from the 1st to the 10th year; however, the sales price had to be paid in full by us. We paid the sales price in full in 2024 and requested liquidation per the contract. In October 2024 Capital Marketing schedule payment on December 11, 2024. The payment never came. After the inquiry, Capital Marketing set a new date for payment: January 31, 2025. That payment never came, and I made another inquiry. On February 3, 2025, Capital Marketing sent me an email stating they sent $60,350 to my account; here is their message: " We paid your Bank of America with the last four numbers, ****. The amount is $60,350.00. ...The IMAD number for this transaction is ******** *******." There was no transfer, and we did not receive the funds. On February 7, 2025, I sent another inquiry and followed up with a second inquiry on February 18, 2025. To date I have not received a reply. I am likely not the only one who has been scammed by this company.am looking for advice on best way to expose these scammers and get my money back.
