Cairo, Egypt Valencia Hotel. Fraud bookings. This hotel was listed as 3.5 stars when it is only 2 stars. The pictures of the room are fake and not actual run down rooms. There are many American Google reviews that reported this hotel to be 'shady' in practices. I booked this hotel on Januray 19th, 2025 and tried to cancel on Januray 20th, 2025 USA time frame but less than 24 hours Egypt time. No staffing can be reached. Then, I tried to cancel thru Chase Sapphire Credit Card because it was booked through their travel site. Chase should not even have this hotel for booking because is not reputable. Chase Hotel Lisason could not reach anyone at the Valencia Hotel, Cairo, Egypt for two weeks. Finally, the hotel responded and said cannot be cancel. Other American travelers wrote that when they arrived at the hotel, the reservations were cancelled or no rooms available and asked to be paid in CASH in order to get a room and have guest cancel their Hotels.com bookings (this way they can get get USD Cash).
