I am currently job searching through Indeed. I received an email saying my resume was selected for an Interview and it came from [email protected]. I followed the instructions and connected through google hangouts as the messaging system to conduct the interview. The asked a series of interview related questions which all of which were very legitimate and convincing and after a long process said I qualified for the position and they were going to send me a check for software purchase and they included the software list as well as they will be sending a laptop and I would be hearing from the training supervisor. This morning they sent me a check that was for set up and they wanted me to deposit so I could buy the required software from the vendor that is the only one this company uses. It was all very convincing and they said and did all of the right things. I was fooled until they emailed the check it was from a random company in the us and not a formal company check. They told me this was ok it was just an affiliate company. I guess once I deposited this check into my account via a mobile application they were going to access my account and steal all of my money. It is frightening to think these people are using both Indeed and this IGM Financial company to scam people. Please help do something about this to warn people.
