This was a recent remote job offer. After I was offered the job, I received the following instructions: "Please head to the Office Depot and purchase a Business Check Refill. It's required to print and deposit the certified electronic check that we'll issue to you for the purchase of your work equipment. The cost is about $21, send a copy of the purchase receipt for record-keeping and reimbursement."
