Same thing!

I almost fell for it if not for checking. Here's my proof in the screenshots below. I blocked the person and reported them on Skype. I'm going to block them on my phone too. It looks like this is happening for anyone who has submitted a resume to any public work/recruitment site. They take the information on the resume and proceed from there. Be careful!

Data Entry Job SCAM

I was contacted by a lady via text about this company. I was instructed to have an interview via Zoom. I texted THOMAS CARTER. through zoom. I was told that I got the job and a check will be sent via FedEx to get my home office set up. Long story short the check was FAKE. My account is overdrawn. Now I have to fix it.

I hope the people doing this face SERIOUS TIME

These people told me I was going to start a position in data entry had me give notice to my Other job and do all these tasks to get my at home Office ready they should be ashamed of themselves good thing I caught up with this website before I gave them any personal information I cannot believe that people actually go and do this to innocent people I hope that they get caught

I was contacted threw text initially. Then Mr. Jerry Paine asked me if I had Whatsapp. I told Mr. Paine that i didnt use that app. Mr. Paine then asked me if i had Zoom or Skype. I downloaded both and Mr. Paine and I used Skype. The interview was all threw text messaging. After we concluded the interview Mr. Paine told me he would get back to me the following Monday. When Monday came Mr. Paine contacted me telling i scored 91% and that they were inpressed with my honesty and would like to welcome me to the company. Mr. Paine proceeded to tell me that they were going to send me a starter check usps/fedex so I can purchase the equipment I would need to begin work. Mr. Paine also asked me if i was familiar with bitcoin atms. When i told him I wasnt he proceeded to ask me if i use cash app when i said yes he instructed me to go to my cash app and purchase $50 worth bitcoins. I couldnt do that because i had no money in my cash app. Then he instructed me to buy a apple gift card. When i told him that i wouldnt do that and that i wasnt interested in bitcoins he seemed a little perturbed. However he proceeded to ask me if i had mobile deposit. Mr. Paine and i went back and forth about me opening up a Chase Bank account. I told Mr. Paine i wasnt comfortable with a mobile deposit and would rather him send me a check threw Usps or Fedex. Thats when Mr. Paine told me he would message me with the tracking number. It took Mr. Paine a few days and a few messages for him to send the tracking number. Telling me that there was an issue with Fedex. When i finally received the tracking number the package was going to Stockton Ca and I live in Poway Ca. The tracking number wqs for a package that wasn't even going to my house. I have since tried to contact Mr. Paine and he has not replied to any of my messages. I lost two weeks of waiting on Mr. Paine for a check that i never received and a job i never started because there was no job or starter check. If it had been a real job and i received my starter check i would have been able to start work and be expecting my first check. The pay for the job was $32.50 an hour and if i had worked the 40 hours a week for the two weeks i had to wait i would have made $2600. Mr. Paine has not gotten back with me about anything and i honestly believe this scam job and something needs to be done about Mr. Jerry Paine before he scams someone who will do the bitcoins and send him the things he asks for.

Yup got the same text. Today is Feb 2nd 2022. I was suspicious about the offer. I told who ever was texting me that I wasn't available at the moment but can schedule the zoom at 5pm . Needless to say he never got back to me.
