This was at first communicated through Facebook Messenger then moved to Whatsapp. The caller posed as Steve Chen of Calltoleap. Said he had a separate business to help people reach financial freedom. Started off with small amounts of money; $250 to $500. Shown a webpage with your "deposits" and at the top left corner, the inflated amount of money made, which was about $250K. Obviously, the more you put in the more you make.... yeah right, the more you put in the more they take. Tried to get a video conference but kept hanging up. Then the scammer would message me saying not to call, as it affects the trading.... B.S. Should have known better... if something is too good to be true, then it IS. My own greed got the better of me. Red Flags I've should have taken: 1. Messaging me in the middle of the night (3AM) asking if I've made the deposits. 2. I tried to back out of this deal and would give me back my money. 3. Refusing to Video chat. 4. The real Steve Chen is an Educated person, this scammer didn't act/sound like a Middle School teacher. 5. Transferring USD in bitcoins. 6. Said that I would not have to pay taxes on the Capital Gains. 7. The name on the scam Messenger is "Call to Leap", not the real Calltoleap (no spaces).
