Shelly Gill texted me about an open remote position, which I was interested in. After telling her my initial interest, I was set up for an interview with Robert Woods the hiring manager for Genesis Pharma with supposedly 18 years of experience in the industry, on Microsoft Teams. He went thru all the normal interview questions and told me to hold on while my information was forwarded to the inspection department (should have been first clue) for review. He told me that this assessment was crucial to evaluating my commitment and suitability for the position. It took about 20-30 minutes, and when he came back he said I had the job (second clue). They proceeded to send the paperwork that needed to b filled out before I could be trained. I wish I had of seen this site, before I filed it out, because I never would have given them all of my information including SS#, DOB full name and address. They even had me fill out a W-2 form, and sent me check for office supplies and equipment that I was supposed to purchase. The check had proper routing numbers for the bank it was drawn on, however, when I looked up the bank, there was none at the address. I should have done that first instead of looking up the routing number. I had never interviewed for a remote position before, so I was under the false impression that is how they were done. Now I know better! I have been out of work for over a year. I have an elderly parent that I am trying desperately to take care of. There is no money coming in so I am trying my best to land any type of employment. So I fell for it, I wanted it so bad! Now I have to deal with the clean up and the damage to everything I hold dear. Well, lesson learned.
