I believe that this QR Code Creator (qrcodecreator.com) engages in deceptive practices. In a Google search their company is listed near the top of a Google Search, and they advertise that it's free. So, on Jan 12, 2026 I used it to create one QR code, which I placed on an invitation to a small group of people to register for a snowshoeing trip. However, on Jan 17th (only 5 days later) I received a notice that my code would be unavailable unless I selected a (paid) plan to keep the service. I didn't select a plan, and the code was deactivated...a thing I had never thought possible. Nowhere is it obvious that the code would only be available for 5 days before I would be forced to pay a regular monthly subscription to keep it. I feel that this is false advertising and that the company should be forced to either honor their promise in the ads or remove them. Furthermore, they should be penalized to discourage these deceptive practices in the future.
