Received email requesting participation in a short survey. Answered the questions concerning my business experience with a retailer. Once the survey was completed I was offered a number of products as a reward and just needed to pay the S/H costs. I used a debit card for the S/H ($9.69). I received a wifi camera in the mail which turned out to be available from a number of on-line vendors for less than twenty dollars. Couldn't get the product to actually work and put it aside for now. After a week I noticed that this company used my debit card and withdrew $157.69 from my account. My wife called up and was told that by submitting to the survey and rewards system, that after 7 days I was automatically billed the $157.69. Thank God for me I have a tenacious wife and after some difficulties primarily because they don't want to easily return your money, they refunded my $157.69.

Now I did the survey thing in good faith as being a caregiver I thought the camera could help me monitor my patient when not present, but the whole survey thing is a scam and foolishly I fell for it. The products offered may have nothing to do with the on-line scam itself. So my closing advice is if you intend to partake of such an endeavor that you very carefully read the fine print in the terms and conditions. We work too hard to be suckered out of our resources. These so called surveys are just that "scams" and the companies they are allegedly receiving this marketing information for is NOT at all involved. Please be careful, trying to make things right will be an uphill battle!!
