A client posing as Joe V. on voices.com selected me for a voiceover job. Upon emailing, he sent me a full script and I recorded it for him. Upon receipt, he sent me a suspicions PDF check (did not go through the website for payment) for a value greater than what we agreed with the intent to have me send the surplus to another team.
