I went to buy a car part on a website, eivve.com, and entered my credit card info. It said ‘Unfortunately your order cannot be processed as the originating bank/merchant has declined your transaction. Please attempt your purchase again.’ I decided I didn’t feel comfortable purchasing on the site and did not try again. The next day, I got an email saying the seller increased the price authorization to a higher amount and a charge went through on my card for the purchase.
