Just heard back from PayPal that since it's over 180 days there is nothing that they can do about it. Boy I feel like the biggest dope falling for this scam. I guess the old adage that it was too good to be true. I hope karma befalls Jake Trembllay. $98 is not a lot of money in the greater scheme of things but it's also no chump change.

I guess I am another one who was scammed, I had just thought about it and traced back to my PayPal account and like so many of you I was charged $98 on June 30, 2020. There was a company name: Jake Tremblay Electronic LTD. And a email: [email protected]. Of course this all may be fake but it what was on my PayPal receipt. I did send a email, now to see if anyone answers it. It is a-shame that this world is full of people who cheat others. No more ordering from a unknown site, as they say if it sounds to good to be true it probably is not real.

I feel victim to same scam, thought it was legit because it came through like many other advertisements I’ve bought from in past. Paid my $97 and never received anything. PayPal refused to help, but I’ve found they really don’t provide as much assistance as you’d think, very disappointing. I did use a cc so I’ve filed a complaint with them and they are trying to get resolved, but with no website to track back to are having a hard time. Normally I research out information before ordering, it was an impulsive buy, which I will not do in future. Wish someone could get additional information about seller, this is clearly fraud that should be investigated and charges filed.

I also saw the ad online, not sure where but probably a game ad. A Dyson stick vacuum for $98. I read where it said that exactly 7 months to the day I would receive the vacuum and if not that the money would be refunded. Everything looked legit and who wouldn't want a Dyson for $98. Dummy me paid through PayPal and it was not until I really looked at the receipt several months later, that I saw the money had gone to a person and not Dyson. Felt very stupid at this point but still held out hope that come February a Dyson would magically arrive at my door. When I finally came back to my senses I phoned the number from the email and it actually went to Dyson in England. Luckily it was a weekend and I only got a recording. Otherwise I would have heard from a real person that I had been scammed, which would have hurt even more. I did send an email to the address given on receipt stating my disgust for taking and innocent persons money, funny he didn't respond back!

Ordered the Dyson on a pre-order promotion. Said could take up to 7 months to receive. I paid with PayPal, and it’s their policy not to refund after 180 days of the purchase so no help there. I don’t remember exactly how I came across the offer but it was on line for sure. Quess I'm looking foolish, shouldn't be trusting online purchases or PayPal. Would seem to me that PayPal would do everything in their power to help get my money back, 180 limit is not acceptable. They obviously are not too concerned about their customers, they & I have been duped. If I'd paid directly through my credit card, credit card company is much more responsible & helpful on fraud, guess I'll stop using PayPal & drop them as an investment too.
Is PayPal still accepting payments to this scammer?

I was playing a game on my phone and started seeing the add for a pre order for a new Dyson vacuum. I tried to search to see if it was a scam and there was nothing I could find about it being a scam. I purchased one for $98. They said if they didn't deliver by February they would deliver two vacuums. I just wish that there was some way to make people whole after this scam.

I ordered the Dyson pre-order too and it's obvious now it was a scam. I'm really disappointed as I love Dyson sweepers. I saw this same ad a couple months later so he must have been snagging enough people to make it worth his while. Unfortunately Dyson didn't put something out that it wasn't theirs. It sure looked real.

I ordered using PayPal Pal to pay $97. As soon as I realized there was a 7 month wait I tried to cancel & notified Pay Pal. Pay Pal denied claim & now I am out $97 , 7 months latter. Here is a copy of the email I received from "Dyson". Who can I contact to get my money back,

When I went to follow up calling the UK number they provided it wasn’t working. I paid with PayPal, and it’s their policy not to refund after 180 days of the purchase so no help there. I don’t remember exactly how I came across the offer but it was on line for sure. I will never buy anything on line again without first researching if it’s a scam. Would seem to me that PayPal would have known it wasn’t legit when they transferred the funds...because couldn’t have gone to Dyson.

I clicked on an advertisement link while playing Candy Crush Saga. I thought that the link was legit since it was one of king.com's chosen advertisers. It was an ad using Dyson's name stating that they were seeking 2000 people to review their new vacuum. It was marketed as Dyson's pre order exclusive. They are offering you their latest vacuum @ 90% off, with the caviate that you need to review the product. If you look online, there were some news articles about the very opportunity. Unfortunately, when I paid, the payment went to this email address.. [email protected]. I knew in that moment that this was fraudulent. The website looked legit, it was set up like Dyson's website.

I then immediately filed a claim with PayPal and started to search the web for this scam. I did find through the king.com community that someone else had reported this fraudulent ad on 7/23 and then again on 7/27. King.com did not investigate, nor did they remove the ad. I am filing this complaint in hopes that you can get king.com to remove the ad and make them reveiw their advertisement vetting process. Also, make it easier to report a scam ad. I still can't find the right place within the king.com help center to report bad ads.
