Targets both individuals and businesses. Business names given: RGV Realtors ([email protected]), DTLNationwide LLC, and Highly Influenced (caller ID). Primary phone number is a Georgia one, forms provided say the company is based in Tennessee, "clients" are allegedly from Ohio, the man whose credit card was stolen is in California, and the hotel is in Colorado. Consists of individuals presenting themselves as legitimate businesses and then making and arranging hotel reservations with stolen credit card information. Long term reservations made online for four "clients". Three of the clients are travel nurses and booked with DTL. Fourth individual's occupation is unspecified and booked with RGV. Individual then calls hotel to have credit card authorization forms sent to them so that they can pay for their "clients" rooms, except for one client, who provides their own credit card in person. Forms are filled out with stolen credit card information. They use the names and electronic signatures of the individuals whose credit cards were stolen, but the phone numbers provided for the cardholders is the phone number of the "company" with a Georgia area code. These specific forms do not require photo identification or any other proof beyond the form itself. Clients stay without incident until the card provided will not approve for more money. Individual provides new credit card form on behalf of his clients. Card approves. Call is received from a man saying that his card is compromised, had been used at this hotel, and has been reported as fraud. Man's name matches form sent by company, man denies any knowledge or relation to companies or the relevant industries. Business is asked to provide an alternate credit card form that does require photo ID and copies of the credit card. The form is sent back from the DTL email, but the photos of the ID and card are sent from the RGV email. The name on those forms is Christian Brewer and he is believed to be the main person communicating via phone and email on behalf of the businesses, however the DTL outlook name is Jason McGlown. Brewer's card will not clear for the full room balances. Business(es) abruptly halt communication. The actual existence of the businesses cannot be confirmed. "Clients" staying in house deny knowledge about what's going on, deny ability to contact whoever made their reservations, and become very defensive and hesitant to provide their own personal credit cards. Cops can confirm that the three travel nurses are, in fact, travel nurses with verified employment at a medical facility, but do nothing else. "Clients" all abruptly leave of their own accord. Payments that have been received are expected to be charged back. No further payments or communications made or received.
