I was trying to find a breeder for a Dachshund pup and I found one with a very convincing and professional website.

The dogs were relatively inexpensive compared to other kennels and their availability was very good.

I assumed it was American due to price and the testimonials were all from US.

There was no location on the website.

When I inquired, I asked for location to see if it was even feasible.

I immediately got a text message saying that they sent an email. (It was around 11 pm).

I checked the email and was told they were in Halifax NS which is very close to me.

I asked for address, name of vet and if I can see in person (telling them I was coincidentally in the area) and they stopped communicating.

The website is so well done that I fear other people will easily fall for it.

I contacted this “breeder” to purchase a 10 week old English bulldog named Milo. A 500 deposit was zelled and 1200 cash was taken at time of sale with no dog. He ran off and I was never able to receive my money back or the dog I purchased

Anthony offered my family a havanese puppy. He would not provide parent pictures of puppy. He would not FaceTime me to show puppies. Sent a photoshopped pic of puppy on his website with my name and the date on it. Asked repeatedly for payment information.

We purchased an 8 week old puppy from a Breeder. The Breeder wanted strictly cash for the purchase, but we were able to convince him to use PayPal for our records of payment. We received the puppy in a very sick and unhealthy state. We thought it was from being outside in the cold temperatures and needed to be warmed up well. No proof of vaccination status, registration, or any paperwork including food type was provided. Asked numerous times for this paperwork and received nothing. The puppy died after 48 hours of ownership spending 6 hours at the ER Vet and going into cardiac arrest. The puppy had cardiovascular issues that were not disclosed at the time of purchase. The Breeder is unwilling to work with the owner in providing information and some sort of reimbursement for the animal purchase price.

I purchased a dog from a "so called" breeder a month and a half ago. The gentleman refused to allow me to see his property to inspect his dog environment. We agreed to meet at a local Arby's fast food instead. He stated he bred the dog and sold it to a woman then the woman gave the dog back to the breeder because she couldn't take care of it anymore. The Breeder stated the dog was pure bred and was 5 months old. We purchased the dog for 650.00 dollars with NO PAPERWORK or proof of vaccinations. I recently took the dog into the Vet and was advised the dog was 2 years old and was NOT a pure bred. I contacted the breeder today and advised him of his wrong doing. He couldn't keep his story straight. My family and I are very alarmed the dog we purchased was stolen and then sold again. The breeder hung up on me and said, "good luck finding me".
