I joined a Facebook page for Doberman adoption and rehoming after my Doberman passed away a few months ago. Over this past weekend, approximately 13 April, I commented on a post for available puppies. The poster Legacy Crest Dobermans (also listed as Admin for the Doberman page) asked for me to message them privately, and I did. I explained how now I am deployed overseas and am not ready to commit to a puppy. They said they have a litter due mid-June and another litter in July. I told them I would not want to commit to either litter since I am not sure if I will still be stationed where I currently am. They seemed nice, but semi pushy for me to put down a deposit. I initially agreed that I would like to be added to the reservation list for a puppy. They said the puppies are $1300 and the deposit is $250. They asked for me to fill out a reservation form, and stated since I am overseas that they'll fill it out for me and will email me the form for signature. I gave them my name, address, phone number and email. Then I began to get suspicious. I asked for their website, which they sent me a link www.dobiesnuggles.com. The site felt off, there wasn’t a lot of information and their "about" section didn’t even mention Dobermans, it talked about bullies and bangle cats. I asked if they were AKC registered, to which they said yes. Yesterday 14 April I called AKC, and they did not have them as a registered breeder. They sent me a screen shot for a Zelle payment transfer and the name on the Zelle account showed a name of Randy Lomas, with a username or Zelle as @Randy-Lomas-2 and code 6520. Towards the end of the conversation, they began to be very pushy for me to send the payment, to which I declined. I stated I needed to think about it. Since I began to get random text messages from various numbers about job offers, which I believe are more scammers. I have been reporting and blocking the phone numbers.
