I bought a car from NYC and DMV was closed for a new year and I saw an online advertising for some company who does a temporary online registration, and they said they work with the DMV and they can provide a legal valid registration, I made the payment and they sent me the temporary registration card and the instructions how to print it out and put it in the license plate frame on my car, next day the police stopped my brother and we got arrested and we spent a night in the jail and both of us got charged for using a fake license plate , and I have all proofs that I didn’t know that was a fake registration and they confirmed that it is a legal.
