We bought a car from these guys that was advertised as having 160,000 miles. They wrote that in the online adverts, they stated that several times in person when we went to check the vehicle out, and they claimed it was a ‘one owner’ vehicle and was in pristine mechanical condition. AFTER we paid them, we found out that the vehicle has nearly 400,000 miles (Carfax says 392k, the title says 398k). We tried to have the vehicle titled so we could at least sell the vehicle to an auction house and try to recover some of the money we lost and they told us they can’t even take the car because it was most likely STOLEN! We can’t even sell the car to a junk yard because aside from a handwritten bill of sale, we can’t even prove that these guys sold us the car (aside from all the screen shots and text messages exchanged between us - we do have all of that documented to try and protect ourselves). We also found out that they didn’t even provide us with an actual key to the vehicle - only a valet key. Our mechanic was shocked that we were able to drive the car at all. Our mechanic said that not only did they have to take apart the dash and replace the whole screen that shows the odometer reading, but they also had to go inside the steering column and essentially break it to allow the valet key to start the car. These guys are clearly professional scam artists because they went above and beyond to make the car seem like it was exactly as described in their advertisements. Within a day, the transmission was shot, all the lights on the dash came on, the driver seat motor doesn’t work, and the speedometer stopped working. We filed a criminal investigation report with the MVA, we’re contacting the Maryland State Attorney General, and still planning to sue privately in civil court. I hope the next person that comes in contact with this company will investigate them BEFORE doing business with them. Don’t make my mistake and take them at their word (or trust the vehicle you’re seeing with your own eyes - it’s all fake)!
