I was messaged on LinkedIn for a Team Lead for a Global Diabetes and Obesity Conference is give a speaking presentation. I have been approached recently for such things and so I was interested in the opportunity. When I reached the number that was directed to call the person on the other line didn’t know which conference I was referring to and said “which one?” This made me suspicious and I looked in greater detail at the link to the brochure. This also looks highly suspicious as a scientific conference. Even the fact that the line up wasn’t solidified and they were still looking for speakers in May and the conference is in July got me pausing at the information. The person on the phone also couldn’t say who the sponsors of the conference were. In addition, when I looked at the sponsor, it is a LLC. No institution associated with it.
