Same scam I thought I had my forever home and yea I’m hurt I can’t lie I was so excited to show my boys and just finally be comfortable and happy so I’m curious I went by the house and it was even more gorgeous in person should I call the seller and let them know someone is running a scam in their property?

I also got scammed by this person claiming to be Kristina Dawn Eymert for a house listed in Richmond, VA. She sent me exact same texts that have been shared on the previous post. Stay away from her! This is a very sophisticated scam. I really wish I would have googled her name at the least to avoid being strung along for 3 weeks. I was very desperate for a place to live and they took advantage of my vulnerability. These people are horrible! I believe it is a group of people, not just one. I lost $3,000 from this! I am still waiting to hear back from Zelle on whether or not I will get my money back. I feel just terrible that I allowed this person to take advantage of me. I read different articles about how to deal with the aftermath after being scammed and that was helpful. The money is replaceable but my self-esteem and confidence to rent elsewhere have really taken a hit. I am praying, God-willing, that these people only go over people's money and not their identities. Regardless, I have taken the proper precautions to protect my identity moving forward. DO NOT share any personal information with these people, even on the application. The Zelle user they made me send the money to was a "Richard Thom" with an email address of [email protected]. I am filing a police report and FBI report on them as well. The phone number they used to contact me is (916) 637-4427. STAY FAR AWAY and PROTECT YOURSELVES! I am praying people see this and it prevents others from what I experienced.

I saw and advertised home on Craigslist and inquired about it .we talked via text and she informed it was for rent. She sent me the addresses but said due to COVID showing was restricted you could only look through the windows.However , all the blinds are closed .I reached out and she sent me an email with pic and and a rental application once I told her my husband and I was interested. she said rent $1050,sec $1000 and $50 app. Fee per adult. The home is beautiful my spirit just wasn’t sitting right. Especially communications via text.I read back in 1of her text and it said with a lease to own option later if possible. That made me googled and sure enough the home is for sale ,so I google the name Kristina Dawn Eymert and CA area keeps popping you.So I google the number and it brought me to this site .My only concern is the application has my husband Ss# on them but our credit sucks.I thought the rental application had to many personal info.they wanted like Bank acc.# and bal.I shall be reporting this and I hope this person is caught .

Hi I almost got scammed by this lady little does she know I know scamion very well I've never scammed anyone myself but I've had many experiences with these types of people and I'm always very sketchy when it comes to renting a home on Craigslist in general any home online especially private owners. This lady or whoever this is send me the same text messages exactly identical to what she or he said to you and those screenshots I thought I was kind of fishy when my daughter said she went by to look at the house but the windows were closed and there was a sign in the front yard that said the house was being sold by Zillow. I immediately Googled her name after she sent me an email with pictures and all this information came up so it actually saved me from a huge mess! I'm pissed I'm so mad and frustrated because I was so excited about this rental that I had found and so were my kids. We just got the word that our landlord is selling our property and that was the last thing we had expected during this horrible time with this pandemic going on. So yes I feel very disappointed I was looking forward to getting approved and starting a new chapter in our lives. Thank God I didn't send them any money! I want to report this in the meantime I have not told this person yet that I've caught on so I wanted to see how this was going to play out and just play along with it as long as I could I keep telling them that I want to meet in person and I'm not getting no direct answers. If anybody knows how I can go about handling this legally and Reporting this or who to call please respond to this I want to get this person caught whoever kristina Dawn Eymert is! I personally think it's either maiden name or these people get a hold of other people's identification cards and they act as that person I've never scammed anyone before but I know how to read a scammer pretty good! Thank you for whoever posted all these screenshots it made it easier for me to catch on to this!

I was also a victim to this scam, I have reported it to the FBI as well as FTC. Thankfully I paid through Zelle and was able to get a refund. They have a lot of ads for rental houses posted for the Morgantown, WV area. I have attached screenshots of my contacts with her. When someone finally called it was a man with a very heavy accent, unsure if it was middle eastern or Indian or maybe something completely different.

I was just almost scammed by this Debra Williams, using the phone number 916-637-4427 listing two rental houses in Bellingham, WA on Craigslist. Everything sounded good until the text where this person said that she and her husband work in CA and due to covid, they cannot show the property but invited me to go take a look through the windows. Once I got the addresses of the two properties, I googled them and they are both for sale, with one sale pending. These people need to be stopped!

A woman by the name of Debra Williams posted an ad on craigslist for a property in Dover, DE. Her email was [email protected]. She was very pushy and I was very skeptical about it so I pulled the image files from other sites listing the property. The file naming convention for each different realty site was the same...except the ones sent in her/or his email. This was a red flag. Sure enough I came across this complaint site and was relieved I did not send the money. I have attached the "application form". PLEASE CATCH THIS CROOK

This scammer txt & emailed me. She acted like a owner from an house I was looking to rent. She sent me a rental agreement & txted me after I made a $1000 deposit that she was overnighting my keys. I am currently on the phone with the bank putting a stop to my payment. My only concern is that she has my social which I now have to report to social security. I hope someone puts a stop to these scammers!

I fell for the same thing as everyone here. The lady claimed to be the owner living in California due to coronavirus, she sent me a fake lease, fake ID & I was so excited. I told my sister all about my new place & we looked up this number & found Debra Williams on this scam site. I’m currently on the phone with my bank putting a stop to my payment but now she has my personal information. I will have to report this to social security for identity theft

My wife found a listing on Craigslist and told me about it. Nice place, great location affordable rent. Of course I said yes, without researching anything. When I heard the story about this lady, Debra Williams ( [email protected] ) and phone number, 699 888 1825, it took me about 5 minutes to realize it was a scam. Sadly, we'd sent a good portion of the money already. Stay safe folks. Also, RIP Debra Williams, found her obituary.

We answered a Craigslist ad in Seaside, OR for a very nice house for rent. Same deal as everyone here, except she sent the wrong house first, and then corrected herself to send us the house in Seaside, first red flag. She said to look through the windows which I thought was fishy, so I did not do that and saw the For Sale sign in the front yard. I asked her about that, as well as the fact that we would not like to move forward without viewing the inside. She said she would overnight the keys to us and send us an application, to which I asked if I should just contact the realtor on the For Sale sign and ask them to show me around. I am sure I will stop hearing from her soon.

We responded to a listing for 3424 Lennox Ave Cleveland, OH 44134 same as the others I am seeing very pushy to get our information and the deposit which thank god we did not send. Said she is in CA since the pandemic. My concern is that now she has my SSN can someone please let me know what to do about this? Same experience as listed above. Listed a house in Redding, CA. Said she was out of town in Florida. Was weirdly pushy to get the deposit and information. Demanded that we be caretakers. I asked to see it in person, and we were told much the same. She was out of town, for us to look through the window, etc etc.

Posed as a home owner renting property in South Grafton, Ma. Claimed to be living in California since the lockdown. Thought about selling the house but didn't like the realtor she previously had so she wanted to sell it herself but in the meantime it was available for rent. She told me to go check it out and that I could look in the windows since she is not available for a walkthrough. I went and all of the windows were shut except the kitchen and from what I saw the house was very much lived in. Fresh strawberries on the kitchen counter from their "smoothie" that morning and a full living room setup. I reached back out to Deb questioning it and all she said was that the tenants had just moved out and haven't taken all of their stuff yet. There was also a car in the driveway. I was definitely confused so when I got back home I looked up the home and saw that it was sold July 22nd 2020. The amount she was renting it for wouldn't even cover the mortgage and she was including all utilities. Being a catfish detective I sent her another email asking if we could have a walk-through and that's when the scam started to unravel. She said that she would have to overnight a key immediately and asked how I would like to pay the deposit cash app or zelle? If you know anything about renting you don't pay the deposit until you overlook & sign a lease so this was definitely a red flag. I told her we would figure that out once we got to that step and that's when she said she couldn't send a key without a deposit. I did not respond after that and that's when I looked up her email and found this page.

Should this be reported to the police of the city she is trying to rent out of? I just feel bad if someone was actually home when I went to look. How many people is she sending?

We are in Las Vegas, NV and found a property for rent, low rental rate with all utilities included and offered a 6 month lease. These were all red flags so I googled the phone number and found this site with complaints. Be careful out there!

While helping my son and daughter-in-law with their newly-purchased home, a couple came by and asked about renting the house, based on seeing pictures captured from the public listing. The visiting couple realized early-on that they were being scammed by the "alleged realtor" in California. The EMail address on her message to this couple matched the scam info on this page.
