Several days later, I received an invoice in my email for $1,256.52. I replied to the email, "I thought we had a verbal agreement, on which we shook hands. Is your word of no worth?" In a subsequent phone conversation, Cordova claimed to have offered $1200 to do the job, not $400. I only want the gutters cleaned. No way would I have accepted an offer of $1200. That is totally unreasonable.
I consider this to be "Bait and Switch", and possibly elder abuse on the part of Cordova. BTW, he responded via email to my email complaint with, "... do not continue to harass me or I will have the police show up to tell you other wise mahalo built have a great life".
I am making this report in the hope that others will not have to deal with this duplicity. Thank you for your consideration.
