I was initially approached on Facebook about a remote data entey position. She told me to download a secure app (Signal) where the interview would take place. She gave me the name of the interviewer and an interview code. I went through the interview process. Typical interview questions, nothing invasive yet. She gave me details about the company and the position. What would be expected of me and what the company would do for me, i.e send me a computer and printer/fax. I was later sent an offer letter, which looked completly legit. After signing that. I was sent a W4 form and direct deposit form. All again seemed legit, so i signed and sent back in. I was then sent a MoU form, which stated i was to get an iphone 16 through my carrier and add it to my plan to be used as a work phone. I found this fishy and asked to speak to someone directly. I also attempted to reach someone directly through the website, my email flagged that address as possible scam and said it was an undeliverable address. Everyone ghosted me after i started questioning things.
