A 3rd party called my father as they attempted to locate me. He notified me and I called the number. It was a collection agency claiming they had a judgement for a $3,000+ debt on a credit card from Cross Country Bank. I had never heard of this bank prior to today. I have certainly never done business with or obtained a credit card from these people. They have threatened to garnish my wages for a debt I never incurred.

I received a call from a 3rd party company claiming they work for Cross Country Bank and they are taking me to civil court for money I owe them and that if I don't pay it Cross Country Bank will charge me 3x's the balance of $1,842.73. They also threatened that if I did not sign the subpoena that I would miss the court date and have a warrant out for my arrest. I have not owned a credit card for 20 years and I check my credit monthly and have recently paid off multiple debts. There has never been anything mailed to me or showing on my credit for a Cross Country Bank as delinquent and owing them $1,842.73. This needs to be reported and looked into because this is 100% fraud!!
