[BBB transcription Consumer] Scammer called husband in regards to three charges on our cards totaling 900 dollars. The scammer was not specific as to what cards were used, only stating they were charge cards that were used at Walmart and we needed to verify accounts. They also continued to say that we were under investigation for Social Security. My husband is hard of hearing, so I suggested to him to have them call the landline so we could place the phone on speaker and both hear what was being said. We gave our landline number and told her to call back, but that never happened. When attempting to call the number back, the number was not connected anymore.

Sonmeone in another state (I am in Ohiio) used a credit card number to purchase food items from a Sandwich shop. We contacted our bank and closed the card account. A new card was issued.
