Received a text message with first line indicating "Revenue Canada"

"A total reimbursement of $366.49 is pending. Proceed by replying 'Y'."

Lots of red flags tell me it's a phishing scam.

Revenue Canada does not exist. It is Canada Revenue Agency. They also do not text. Legitimate mail is posted to my online account.

The person called and an automated voice told me that this was my last chance to make a payment to the CRA before it went to the federal court. I pressed 1 to speak to an agent and asked them to remove me from their list, and the agent told me to [censored] off.

I just want to let anyone know this is another scam using CRA as their name of business.

they called on my mobile phone.

It appeared to be a recorded message and they left the number to call back. It matched the number on the call display.

very stern voice calling about past due taxes.

I called the number. A male voice answered 'canada revenue agency'. I answered ' come on you guys', and they hung up.

This caller calls every now and than leaves a weird automated message, if you answer it says its from the canadian revenue agency and that your going to court and we will send police to send you to jail if you ignore this call.

Answered the phone, the message was this is a very important message. you have a lawsuit with CRA, call this number 226-406-4476 immediately, and it repeated the number again.

I then looked up the phone number and several comments about this number as scammers, via google search. Called Consumer Protection Branch and they advised to fill this report out.

I let it go to voicemail as I didnt know the number. Voice mail starts out garbled (likely on purpose to get you interested in clarifying) the grammar is shocking. Then goes on to say "The minute you receive this call please speak to us. My name is Officer Robert Wali / Ali, and if we don't hear from you or your attorney the process will proceed. Disregard this message. My number is....."

Pre recorded message saying that without contact legal actions will be taken. We called and said "you just called" mans voice changed and stated he was with CRA, asked for full name, phone # and other details to verify who we are. Knowing better, we asked " you called, you should know at least our name.... caller tried to recover and ask again for security reasons, again we asked for even a partial name. Upon this we mentioned reporting this as a scam and the phone was hung up immediately

I just got a female voice recorded call on my home landline threatening a lawsuit about my income tax and posing as the CRA with a number to call. I called the number shown above. It was a cell number and answered by a man with a heavy foriegn accent driving a car, and he hung up after I asked him who he was and why was getting fraudulent calls about a CRA lawsuit regarding my income tax.

Phone call from (613) 704 - 2173 - Ontario, on October 30th

Pre-recorded message claiming to be from CRA and threatening to have me arrested.

I got this call 3 times in one week. It's just a pre-recorded message threat, and I'm not dumb enough to call them back, however, it is annoying to keep getting these calls.
