On June 4, 2024, we contacted Ozark Safety Cabins, Allison Molpus after viewing their website about container homes. We signed a contract and wired $11,000 to them in exchange for 40' Retreat Shipping Container Home to be delivered, per Allison, in 5-6 weeks. We have reached out to them repeatedly concerning the product both via phone contact and email. We often did not receive a reply or call back but did occasionally hear back from them with several reasons for the delay, i.e. they moved locations, their entire staff was sick, they had subcontractor issues, etc. We then contacted our attorney here in Columbia, TN who then contacted an attorney in the Arkansas area. The attorney immediately recognized the name and said, "I know exactly who you are talking about. They are a bunch of crooks." Per the AZ attorney, there are several complaints against this company. Our attorney has requested that they either deliver the product or return our deposit, and the latest date they said they would resolve was December 2. Neither has been received, and after speaking with the attorney in Arizona, our attorney has advised us that the money is probably not retrievable. We have contacted the FBI and have been given some resources and advice, but I sincerely want to protect others from being scammed and would love to see their website shut down.
