I received a call on 2/12 from this number, caller stated he was calling from a collection agency, but he spoke unclearly when he stated the name of the agency. Are you able to confirm if this number is for an actual real business? He was asking for a payment for lab charges in the amount of $594.41, gave the name of the lab as Medical Diagnostic Lab but refused to provide their telephone number (stating he did not have it) - I called the local Medical Diagnostic lab and they stated there was no outstanding amount in my account.

I got a another call from the same person at a different number 760-857-9734, same issue.

Please let me know if you can advise?

Received call from "Consumer Collections", said I had a medical bill (blood work) that they bought in a bundle of debts to collect. They talked fast, were reluctant to repeat information. The amount was under $200. Had my name (no middle name), address, phone number. I asked when the service was, they said Jan. 6, 2023. I looked at my old calendar and told them that I had no blood work done around then. They said it was from an 3rd party lab. I asked the name, told me "Medical Diagnostic". I wasn't familiar with them , asked where; "they have locations all over the nation". I asked the Dr. name; gave me NPI number (2 digits short). It goes on. Started threating me with legal action and would report to credit bureaus. Gave me 48 hours. I called back to ask for proof of bill; Jake was busy and would call back. I called again Jan. 28, Jake was in a meeting. Asked for supervisor. Shirley was hostile when answering. I asked for proof of bill she said 3 invoices were sent. I asked her if they sent or billing company. I asked the billing company's name. She said "National Diagnostic ______" I asked her to repeat it. She started yelling "We have enough information to collect this debt and sue you" over and over. She hung up on me.
