The machine was set to arrive Friday (2/7/25). When it didn’t arrive, I called Monday (2/10/25) morning and spoke to the same lady I had spoken to during the transaction (I forget her name and cannot find it in e-mails). She said her boss would call me right back. After no calls that day and not returning my follow-up calls, I e-mailed them stating that I would be reporting the transaction as fraud. I called everyday for a few days following that e-mail worried that I may have been scammed and found that my calls were no longer being answered. They answered the phone timely for the previous 3-4 phone calls leading up to this. On 2/18/25 I filed reports with my local police department, Federal Trade Commission, and FBI online crimes division. I contact my bank ********** and put a stop payment on the check that was in the mail for the balance due ($9,500) – that payment was stopped in time. ******** has been in contact with the bank that received the $15,000 wire ***** ** *******) to try to withdraw the wire, however there were no funds available to withdraw.
As of this date I have no resolution and am trying to get the funds returned. I want to note that I researched this transaction to vet it for fraud and it seemed legitimate! It had a real website, real address, real phone number, and I spoke to someone on the phone that had local accents. They were responding to my unique questions about the machine and even email photos of it from at shop at my request. It has a real Tax ID number; it is registered with Florida secretary of state (Tax ID 32-0637365 in good standing); ** *** ** ** ****** **** *** ****** ******** ******* Everything about the transaction seemed legitimate.
******** ******* ****** ************* ************************* 3/17/25 Update: Spoke with ********* ** FBI agent **** *******. He confirmed there are other cases open related to this entity. It’s currently under investigation, but unlikely going to be able to recover the funds, and unlikely speedy end to investigation.
