Gentleman (or not) called the business and said that it was a courtesy call and that we would be disconnected in 30 minutes. We have several meters at this location and he could not determine which meter is was. He gave us a number to call and said it was the billing department. I said I didn't need the number I would just call ConEd direct and he insisted I needed to speak to the person at that number. Once I called, the person on the line said the only way to make sure we weren't disconnected was by paying by wire. My boss said that isn't how ConEdison conducts his business and hung up on them. All of our accounts are in good standing.
