Person knocked on door claiming they were a licensed state agent to come talk to me about my utility bill Delmarva. I ensured to ask them if they were with Delmarva but they kept the same sales pitch that they’re licensed agent to help me get my bill rates to not go up and said they were. Asked me for the bill I pull up on my phone and proceeded to enter my info on their iPad. I then received a text about initiating a contract with Rushmore Energy and I asked the agent to clarify that what we’re doing is switching supplier and she denied it. I asked her if she was with Delmarva but repeated the same sales pitch about Delmarva bills. The contract did not go through because I was very skeptical. I asked for her badge and name and she said “Vanessa”. I don’t think the third party vendor business is scam but her sales pitch and practices seemed to be deceitful. I would like to report it appropriately.
