this individual sent an email to me under the disguise of a company that I do business with using their name--Geek Squad. pretending to have renewed my account with them, in the amount of $549.99 which is almost triple what the actual payment would be and way ahead of the due date for it to be renewed. The notice was sent today 3-15-2021, and stated that the amount would be auto deducted today from my account. normally the actual company I do business always give a 2 to 3 week notice before the due date.

the acct# they provided to me is 16950GS-2703

I went to the actual store and confirmed that this was not them in that this came from a gmail acct.

I received a voicemail from the above number saying that .99 cents will be deducted from my account and if I wish to cancel or stop the payment, please press one or call us back at our toll-free number 1-229-299-0518. When i called them back they stated that they are calling from Geek Squad and that my computer is at risk for an OS system and i have to pay $299.99. Told them that i do not own a computer, but they were still talking about the situation. i told them that i will be reporting them to the better business bureau.

It all started with Microsoft phoning me and saying if I wanted my refund of $300.00, they would put me in touch with the Geek Squad/Refund Dept. New York City which they did. Peter *** then coerced me into buying gift cards, charging the cost to my credit cards, and their company would reimburse me. At that point I adamantly said "I didn't want any refund of $300.00" (found out later I wasn't even entitled to a refund). Then Peter *** head of Geek Squad coerced, degraded and manipulated me into buying gift cards for them and kept saying they would reimburse me. This scenario went on for 3 weeks plus and to the amount of $60,000. I would buy gift cards to the amount of $500. and then find out that Peter would keep raising the amount of gift cards he wanted me to purchase. Had to keep doing this or I wouldn't get ANY of my money back... (Of course I didn't anyway) I finally said, "NO MORE"!!!!! By this time I am scared, very anxious and can't eat or sleep and went to seek legal counsel and the police.
