Well well well! If not for this website and information, I was about to be a victim. Thanks to everyone who shared. Im shocked no-one has investigated the company and shut them down! The dude had an accent like he is from Italy which was weird. Claimed to be in Mississippi with a Las Vegas phone number. People please BEWARE!

I was wanting to obtain a small dog for my Mom as an emotional support animal. I went on the website (since the "business" was local to Charlotte, NC). I filled out the online interest form and that evening I was contacted via text from the 704-666-2642 by a person named "Anthony (Khan?)" - if that is even his real name?

This person "Anthony" was going to call me the next day so I could set up an appt to come and see the puppy in person. He never called that morning so I called him at the number listed here and he did call me back. We talked for a few minutes. He said that his wife had an appt that morning so that is why he couldn't call me back right away, which sounded reasonable to me. I told him that I was interested in the puppy and that I could pick her up ("Gemma") that evening around 7pm. He said that was fine because him and his wife would be home.

He asked me if I wanted the animal microchipped and at first I said yes, but then changed my mind. I asked him how much for the cost of the puppy and he said the deposit was $500. He said that when I saw her if I changed my mind about buying her he would give me my money back. He asked me to send the deposit via Zelle and he provided me with the information and I sent the deposit.

Zelle email: [email protected]
Zelle name: Bousseye Sysavane

He called me back and asked me if I could send the rest of the money ($400 additional) since he was going to take the dog to the Vet to "finalize the papers" and he asked me for my address and email address for the paperwork.

He texted me the address where I would be able to pick up the puppy.
9417 White Hemlock Ln, Charlotte NC 28270

When I arrived at the home I noticed a "For sale" sign out front. I didn't think too much about it at first. No one answered the door when I rang to doorbell, which was odd since we had agreed on a time for me to pick up the puppy. Plus, he said that him and his wife would be home.

I called him and told him that I was at the house. He said he was at the Vet finishing things up and that he would be leaving shortly. I told him that I could meet him at the Vet, just give me the location. He said that he was leaving shortly and never gave me the Vet address (which started to raise a red flag). I started thinking that this was a scam. I went and looked in the front door window and the house didn't appear to be "lived in" but instead "staged for showings". This scammer uses houses that are vacant and for sale to set up fake pick-up points.

He even sent me a picture of "Gemma" at the Vet getting a bath. He had sent me a couple other pictures (which I found on other sites when I got home and started looking into this).

A few minutes later he called me and told me that he had to pay the Vet and that they wouldn't take cash since it was so late. By now it was 8pm. He asked me if I could send the money via Zelle to this "Vet" and that he would pay me back with the cash. I told him that I could come to the Vet and if he gave me the cash I would cover with my credit card. By now I was very suspicious. I told him to send me the information for the Zelle transfer (so I could get the information for this so-called "Vet" person. Here is the information he sent me:

Name: Kai Jett
email: [email protected]

I told him that I have it set up so that my bank will only allow me to send a max of a certain amount each day. So I couldn't send the money. He then asked me if I have Apple Pay, which I don't. I told him that I wouldn't be able to send him any more money. He was adamant about paying electronically. He said that he was going to call his son and that he was sorry for the delay. Despite calling, texting and emailing, I never heard back from him.

I did a reverse phone number lookup and it gave me an address of 2310 Oak Village Ln, Charlotte NC. When the caller ID came up for the number that he had called me from it said "Lincolnton" NC. I looked at who owned it and nothing came up. So I drove to this address. Turns out there is a 2308 and a 2312, but no 2310. I was able to talk to the people that lived at the 2308 and they said that they get people coming and asking them about the address and about a puppy and that this is a scam. They have reported this to the police and nothing has been done.

I called my bank immediately and put in a scam claim so I could get my money back.

The images on the website are stock images, so the animals listed on the site are not even real.

I hope that someone can do something about this. These people are getting away with this scam!

Thank you so much for sharing this information with us, Sheri. I too, was looking to put a deposit on "Gemma", but it felt a little off. After doing some research, I found your note here. I will definitely report them on the website I was looking into. Thanks again!

Citi puppy scammed my grandparents yesterday! We sent 450 as down payment to make sure we got a puppy, and then he called to get the rest saying “we have others here interested”. He then told us that he would need two hours to go to the vet for records. We get to the address, and it was a home for sale. The owner had no idea. SCAM!

Vincent Brown is his name now! Wanted Teddy, then offered me "Randy" who was not pictured, but send me a tex picture and videos. I haven't bought a dog before via online. so as stated need to pay the deposit to hold the dog. Called me back and asked for the remainder amount since so many people wanted their dogs. I'll admit I was dumb and I guess because we were talking via phone. Gave the same story about family and church and they don't disclose the real location because "crazy people" just show up. and blah blah blah... I feel so dumb but Ive reported them to CMPD and FBI because this is too much! Whats worse my son is looking for his new dog!

Daphne is the puppy I want. I figured it was a scam and have been doing my research. He told me he was not a scammer because he has a website and actual location. This is a family busy out of Charlotte. Once he told me I can pay the deposit of $450 I could take the dog home and make payments I knew this was fishy.

I have seen a lot of reports of this guy on here. Most refer to him as Anthony but the only name info I got from him was Luis David. He tried to scam me out of a $450 deposit for a Maltipoo puppy called daphne. We did reverse image searches for her and they came up on Pinterest. The copy and paste image info was from WhatsApp in October but the puppy was listed to be 10 weeks old. How do you have pics of a 10 week old puppy if it hadn’t been born yet? He asked to talk on the phone instead of text. He said a lot of scammy type stuff like: why would you let this opportunity get away from you? And we tried to get him to meet us at the pets mart and pay cash for her but he said no. We decided to not go through with it and then started digging and I found all of this. I wish the news would pick up this story because he’s been doing this in this area for 2 years at least.

. Then he said why would I scam you I gave you all my info and u know where me and my family live
. I couldn’t find any address anywhere so I started digging

I’m now out of $950. Paid a deposit on 2 puppies. They wanted me to send an additional $650 for some vet fees, but I declined. I asked to see a video via FaceTime, but Anthony declined and got upset. Offered to refund my money but never did.

He never refunded anything back.

He sent u this pic? So u could get refunded?

They claim to have maltipoo puppies for sale. They ask for a deposit to reserve the puppy and then give you an address to go pick up the puppy and pay the rest of the portion. The address was not for them, but a random person's home. They then cease communication once they have the deposit.

Citi puppy attempted to scam me of $400. I did provide a deposit for Karly and it was accepted. After learning of this site, i provided all information to my bank and they provided me with a full refund. They reported this company to all fraud agencies. However, that POS still got $400.

He has blocked my number, the bank denied my claim and out of money for 2 puppies I never got! His pictures of puppies are fake, address is fake! I wanted a puppy to help me with a traumatic loss! It's so sad and disgusting!

+3

I also requested info on Gemma and they told me she was available. I asked them to provide me with the address to see them and I questioned them as to why the phone number was American but they were located in Toronto ON! They stated that they had just moved to Canada and had not managed to change the phone number.

Oh My! I just inquired about Gemma today! I am planning to go see the puppies in person as it states they are located in Los Angeles! If this doesn’t happen i will be reporting as well!

Anthony has created a new site. Home Puppies . https://cutehomepops.com/product-category/puppies/
Same guy as above. This website is ring with all these others.
They are making bank but Karma has a way. Do not buy from this other site either. Fake!

His new information as of today is this one. They claim to be in Toronto Canada now

I am the latest victim... I am devastated! I will post info here. I'd like to include all of these cases with the gov website I will be reporting these awful scammers to if folks give me the "ok"

SO ME AND MY GIRL WANTED A MALTIPOO AND WE FOUND CITI PUPPY ALL dogs ARE LISTED FROM 750-$850 just keep in mind all TEA CUP PUPPIES ARE WORTH $3000-$8000 dont fall for this BS I LOST $0 but I picked up about 5 red flags off the back for one he has a burner number that he can switch at anytime and it can’t be tracked . #2 Anthony said $420 now and then 420 before he ships it off but it shouldn’t work like that this is just some [censored] looking for money ! #3 he won’t show you any of the dogs on FaceTime !
#4 his background is quiet when he is on the phone and if you asked to see the dog on FaceTime he gets defended ! I want you all to call any dog shelter or actual shop location it won’t be quiet cause all dogs bark ! #5 he doesn’t have an actual shop so don’t do business with him just spend the actual cost for the dog then risk loosing your $!

I did not purchase from these people but I can confirm from what I am seeing, they have multiple websites! Another website they have us cutesweethome.com and it has the same false images and fake reviews. Please beware of these scammers. It’s sad people just want to buy a puppy and we don’t know who to trust. I am so glad I stumbled upon these claims as I would’ve been another victim if I didn’t! I hope these low lives get caught sooner than later.

Well my father has been looking for malipoos at a good price
he found this website. He inquired and honestly it all happened too quickly for me to have helped him. Money was transferred and gone
once I looked into it the web page doesn’t have a physical address or anything like that, red flag. The contract my dad was given via email had no full physical address, another red flag. However the person my father was communicating with was extremely helpful and willing to send pics/videos
my dad still had hope. I told my father to demand a physical address, which took over 24 hours to go
google mapped it and it was an empty lot. I really wished I had had enough time to look all this through before we transferred money.

I wish when I searched for reviews I found this first after losing 900 for an undelivered Maltipoo that was a Christmas gift to my daughter. This Randy, and I'm pretty sure it's not his real name, But this man can not have a soul there is no way. I will be calling Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department. My daughter and I were so hurt.
