CF has a website offering several fine furniture pieces made to order to the trade in the design world. I called him, he was super nice, easy to talk to, answered my questions and allowed me to place my order. He USED to be represented by a showroom in Atlanta, Georgia, which is where I first learned about him. They dropped him several years ago because he was not reliable or a vendor they wanted to represent any more. Since no one else has spoken up I didn't see anything online to cue hesitation. Fast forward to February of 2023, my client has some of his chairs purchased via her previous designer, she wanted matching ottomans. I called him and he was able to assist making furniture for other spaces we wanted to purchase pieces for as well. It all added up to $28,020. He said he didn’t take credit cards. Not totally unusual in the interior design world, so I, after several conversations, send him the deposit payment in full. He said these items were “quick ship” which means 8-12 weeks. It has been 14 months. He has ghosted me and refuses to send back my money. No furniture has been received. He has done this to several other designers. But every few months he will call to keep you in his loop of lies, which is why this has gone on so long. Bank of America said it took too long to make my claim. Im assuming he knew dragging it out would lead to no one willing to go back that far. He is simply relying on his website and history of making furniture. He should be stopped because he is not actually producing any furniture, just taking money and ghosting.
