Called to offer to resell six extra weeks from my timeshare. Promised $6000 plus reimbursement of the $2394 "activation fee." Heard nothing more for over 6 months until I contacted them. Explained their process with more promises. Nothing. Two more contacts by me with 2 more attempts to "sell" my weeks. Nothing more. Ghosted since January. Hang up if their sales people call you.

I was cold called back in July by a person named Alex who stated he was from the Holiday Inn Vacation Club corporate sales team. He had proposed a plan where my vacation points/weeks would get rented out for $1400 a week, up to 6 weeks, for a profit of just shy of $6400. Once he had assured me of the "guarantees" he transferred me to another person to complete the contract - for which there was a recording that states the contract signature is with a company not affiliated with Holiday Inn Vacation Club. I thought that was off since I was told Alex is part of the corporate sales team but unfortunately, I didn't pick up on this discrepancy and signed the contract, and payed a little over $1700 in order to enter in to this agreement.

It has become clear to me by lack of communication, threatening tones on phone calls, and many many online reviews that this is a scam and they have no intention of giving me my money back. I have filed a complaint with my credit card which has been denied due to the contract I signed, and I'm fighting to get my money back.

My story is like the others. We were called, told they were part of Holiday Inn vacation Club and as a benefit of our club membership, they would rent our RCI weeks for a nice return. We have them $2047 and have heard nothing from them since. Holiday Club said they are it associated with cgrmarketing. I’ve tried calling, emailing, and texting them but it appears all their contacts are now unavailable. They are still advertising online. Is there anyway to file a group civil suit against to try to retrieve our monies?

I had this same challenge - i submitted a fraud report with my credit card company but it was declined so i'm working on trying to get this re-opened. I have them on a recorded call stating they are NOT Corporate Getaway Rentals lwhich has significant BBB fraudulent reports however i also have proof that the only known contact for CGRmarketing according to florida business records IS Corporate Getaway Rentals LLC

My experience sounds very similar to many reported under "Corporate Getaway Rentals" (CGR), also located in Kissimmee, FL. I was contacted by an individual named Sean (407)449-1366 who represented himself as being with Holiday Inn Club Vacations. He said that for a one-time fee of $2,394, my timeshare weeks with RCI (a Holiday Inn affiliate which is part of my membership), they would market my unit for $1,600 per week to corporate clients. I could receive $9,600 in rental income (6 weeks worth). I (foolishly) agreed and signed a contract and paid the fee on 7-24-2023.

I received an email on 8-9-2023 from Holiday Inn that alerted owners to be aware of scams. The red flags they mentioned agreed with many of the things done by CGR. I called Holiday Inn Club Vacations and they are referring it to their legal department and said I should refrain from any contact with CGR.

I have disputed the charge with my credit card company (probably too late) and filed a Federal Trade Commission complaint.
