The representative told me that since I **didn’t have collateral**, I would need to get a **“secured loan”**. Sounds legit, right? But here’s the catch: they said I had to **pay $1,700 upfront for an “insurance policy”** before they could release the loan. They claimed that if I ever defaulted on payments, the insurance would cover the loan.
?? **RED FLAGS STARTED POPPING UP:**
- **They demanded money upfront** before I even received a single dollar.
- **They pressured me to pay immediately**, saying the offer wouldn’t last.
- **They gave no official documentation** to prove this so-called “insurance policy.”
- **No real lender asks for money first** before giving you a loan.
At that moment, I knew I was about to be **scammed**. No legitimate lender will ever **ask for upfront payments** before disbursing a loan. It’s a classic scam technique designed to **take your money and disappear**.
Thankfully, I didn’t fall for it. But this could happen to anyone. **If a lender ever asks you to pay for insurance, taxes, or fees before giving you a loan—RUN!** It’s a scam.
