Website is supposed to be used to find if there is anyone for a car tag before you purchase vehicle. Originally states that you can create an account for $1 and then automatically charges you $29.95 each month almost every 2 weeks to take money. They phone number does not work to try to contact them. Their response with email is absolutely horrible, it takes 3-5 business to get a response back. They will keep stating that they will take your card information off their site and cancel your subscription (that you didn’t make) and then the following month do it again.

Same as all of the above, I wish I would have looked here or BBB first. I was charged $29.95 for a single report and then was charged $1 AFTER that... both the email "Adam" at [email protected] and the one they give for "support" after you call the recorded line (in hopes of cancelling) 866.634,8363 and 800.935.0679 [email protected] are not helpful. It also offers "live chat" to help - but that doesn't work!
I reported to Better Business Bureau as well.Another website associated with this scam came up in my charge card info -
Queryreportinfo.com (for phone number look up) offers the same scam - $1 for the report and $29.95 after.

I was looking up info for my car with a vin search and the google search said it was free... then it said it was just $1.00 for their records. I figured sure $1.00 is no big deal... cut to my bank fraud department calling and there was not only the $1.00 charge but also a charge for $29.95 from reportinfolookup.co and another charge of $4.95 from cardatavault.com. Neither of which was mentioned in the checkout process. When you call their phone number it is just an automated system that asks for the last 4 of your card & your zip for a refund but then it says that it can't find your transaction.

DO NOT USE THIS SITE!!!!

Smallest report ever. Useless.
And they say it's $1, but after the payment is confirmed, $29 came out of my card.

Hi I was looking up information on a used vehicle that I was interested in by the Vin number so I typed in the Vin number and it said it would only cost one dollar for the report so I put my credit card information in and they took out one dollar plus they took out another 29.95 plus another 4.95 and they sent an email saying that I’m going to be charged $30 every two weeks for this subscription I never signed up for a subscription. I tried calling the number they are provided and I can’t get anywhere tomorrow it’s an automated thing I sent them emails and I haven’t heard any response back

Went on the website to do a vin check on this moped I was going to buy and the report said it wasn't stolen so I purchased it 4 months down the line I get pulled over and it ended up being stolen and it was actually reported stolen a month before I bought it. Now I'm facing prison time because of this and I lost my job i lost my place to live cause of my job loss and now I have a criminal record which I'm being charged as felony charges now and my bank account is overdrawn 400 dollars now because of this bogus website. My whole life is so screwed because of them i dont even want to live anymore i dont know what im going to do. prison is not my thing .if i loose this case might as well consider me dead. Thanks carlookup.com for ruining my life and killing me.

Went online for a VIN check and found the website. It said $1 for VIN check and ended up charging me $32.95. Then another charge was attempted from homecheckdata.com for $14.95 but was declined. Both sites had different numbers for customer support linked to same number. Number gave nothing but automated phone messages asking for las four on credit card and zip code for code.

I just got nailed by this guy ADAM when I used carlookup.com. like everyone else who got victimized I was expecting to pay $1 for a REPORT my debit card had incurred that UNAUTHORIZED CHARGE of $29.95. Tried to call all the numbers on the website either it hangs up and no live person is available, tried live chat does not work. Emailed several time. They refused to REFUND MY DEBIT CARD. DO NOT USE THEM THEY ARE SCAMS!

I went on to get a report on a car. It said $1. It charged me $1 under myinquiry.com then simultaneously charged me $29. Instantly called and emailed but no response. Two minutes later, received notification from my bank that $170 was attempted. Had to cancel my card. Total scam.

I purchased a car VIN number report for $1.00, and was charged $29.00 in addition that was not authorized. I emailed and called the company and received no response. I immediately called my bank to stop these fraudulent charges. I should have just used carfax instead, and will always be wary of anything I order online. This "company" should be investigated and criminally charged with fraud. The online reviews of people experiencing the same thing are 100% valid.

carlookup.com 1800-732-6403 18009350679 its a scam they never give you the information you pay for it says there’s a Dollar charges of dollars in charge you 2999 you can’t speak to anybody on the phone and there’s no live chat either like they clean rip off company taking advantage of consumers does not give you information to anything you search for. I sent you some bogus information. You can’t get a hold of nobody. They’re ripping people off. It’s a scam do not believe it. It’s a scam. There is no life person there’s no life chat there’s nothing you can’t even call when you call is it if you would like a refund and a cancellation that doesn’t work and hangs up on you every single time I called hangs up on me beware report them

Paid $1 for a one time vin lookup and was charged $24.99 unauthorized from my debit card . Was told multiple times that it was refunded.its been 2 weeks and I'm still waiting.Guys name is ADAM vinreportsnow.com and carlookup.com is the same company set of scammers . DON'T SIGN UP FOR ANYTHING THEY'LL MAKE UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES ON YOUR CREDIT CARD

I feel robbed by carlookup.com just as everyone else stated THEY SAY ITS ALL FREE THEN CHARGE $1.00 and shortly after that I was charged $24.99 for nothing. I immediately tried to reach out and call the business the same night but they were closed . So I emailed and them demanding my money back for False advertisement because they didn’t disclose they would charge me $24.99. A few days later they replied they will cancel any subscription but I signed on and read it so the charge is mines to keep. I hate the injustices. They are the worst , Their systems found no accidents however the other company that really charged 1.00 found there was an accident In Miami Florida 2021 as we suspected while looking at the truck. It’s So sad how they are allowed to Rob, scam and lie and there’s nothing we can do to be made whole. DONT VISIT THERE SITE THEY WILL ROB YOU TWICE IN THE SAME NIGHT😡😠😤

Charged $24.95 without my consent. None of their contact info is worth a crap. And now I'm broke til next pay day...1 week away. It's ridiculous that companies like these are able to exist legally. I contacted my bank to file a dispute, but cannot do so until the transaction actually goes through, which is 1-2 business days. Hopefully they can get my money back from this heinous company.

I just got nailed by this guy ADAM when I used carlookup.com. like everyone else who got victimized before I realized I was being CHARGED $1 for a FREE REPORT my debit card had incurred that UNAUTHORIZED CHARGE as well as 2 others in the amounts of $29.95 and $19.95 And NEITHER had a reason why I was being charged those fees. I did NOT SOLICIT OR CHOOSE any service/ report other than the ADVERTISED FREE SINGLE report! I immediately called my bank only to learn that idINCURRED a $30 OVER DRAFT FEE in addition to those 3 UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES! My bank is now EGATIVE BALANCE TO THE TUNE OF $174 because of ADAM and his website! I tried getting on their LIVE CHAT which doesn't work and their phone number said there's only agents available between 8am-5pm EASTERN TIME so I'll be TRYING to get thru Starting at 630am my time which will be 1230pm eastern time. I also blasted this guy&website on social media/ Facebook. Next up will be IG ! I'm also going to look up this guy/ entity on beenverified.com to find out if I can have ADAM investigated by his local authorities! Also in going to make it my mission in life to let the proper government agencies know about this guy and this guy's website. I will let authorities deal with this matter. I feel so stupid right now but I feel I've done right thing. Even though I'm embarrassed I reported it to my bank IMMEDIATELY and canceled the card in question which is hugely inconvenient for next 7 to 10 business days!

I agreed to the stated 1.00 charge to run a check. Immediately I was charged an addition $179.95, $29.95, $8.95 and the $1.00. Everything goes so fast that you do not see any of the additional terms and conditions until its to late and you're already charged. The report was completely inaccurate all together. The minute I had seen the additional charges I called their 800 number to cancel which then referred me to send an email to cancel and issue refund. I have been going back and forth with their support in emails for # days now as they are refusing to refund my money. The terms and conditions clearly state

To find this portion I had to really dig for them as it is not accessible anywhere on their initial signing up website. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST

I was trying to lookup the owner of a particular license plate this website lets you do a free search, then pay $1 to see the information... when I paid the $1 (using a prepaid deibt card, because I know better...!) I got an email "to the report" that led to a 403 bad webpage. No information.

I called the number, the girl said she could only cancel the subscription (that I did not consent to). No invoice came to my email. No clarification about "charges". She said I had to email the company to get a refund or access to the report.

I went on the website's live chat and the woman knew nothing. Did a "$1 refund" but while I was chatting with her I called the debit card and heard I was debited $1.20 and $11.94.

They provide no invoice, no easy means to cancel and worse-- NO INFORMATION! I'd gladly have paid the money if they provided what they sold.

Very little info on their website (now that I look from a computer instead of my phoen where I made the purchase). No business address, etc.

Lastly, their "privacy policy" says they can resell/use my contact info as they want or I can "unsubscribe" from their emails. There is no unsubscribe option. It's a machine to get people on subscriptions unknowingly and pilfer information. SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!
