A smoky-blue 1980 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am with T-tops and a neat interior was marketed as a “light project” with an easy ship timeline. They offered to “reserve” a truck if I used cryptocurrency, adding that the title would follow by mail. I asked for a live video with today’s newspaper; they sent an old clip with metadata stripped. I sent the coins anyway, hoping the schedule was legitimate. The tracker never moved, and the email domain hosting the invoices vanished a week later. I ended up with no vehicle, no paperwork, and an expensive lesson.
