This was my 2nd job scam. The first scam I fell prey to and now owe the bank $4K. Since then I check the scammer's email address for validity using MXToolbox and Show Original. I had even called Caldwell and they didn't even have a postings for the position that I applied for. So far, ALL of the job scams have come through LinkedIn. I communicated with LinkedIn directly and basically, they weren't really willing to do anything to stop the scammers either. The clue with this scam, even after they offered me the position from emails only, was that they were going to send me a check to cash into my bank so that I can order the equipment that I needed for my home office. I told them to send me the equipment directly and provide me a tracking number. Haven't heard back from them.
