A very similar thing happened to me. Guy called me saying he was Leo with Xfinity's customer satisfaction dept. He knew that I had made a change to my service and was not happy with the way it went. (how did he know that?) He said that he would do what he needed to make it right etc, etc. Our billing cycle had ended so he said I needed to pay that before we could process a change in service. He sent me a code and it was from Xfinity? He had me repeat it back to identify myself. He then sent me a payment link to pay him. I later received a notice that my account was past due.
I had been scammed. I also received a used piece of junk booster of some sort. But no TV boxes. This has sucked up so much of my time trying to figure out what happened and what to do. Xfinity wasn't all that helpful either. I would like to know how he knew the things he did. How do you even trust who you are talking to? Xfinity does send you codes to identify yourself, they do require any outstanding payment be made before you upgrade or downgrade. So frustrating and time-consuming.
Cable net Links is a SCAM. Be careful who you are talking to. Go into the Xfinity store to make changes to your account.

This company poses as xfinity and is the first number that comes up on a google search they pretend to be helpful and use your information to log into the real account causing your internet to shut on and off they all have Indian accents and took payments for xfinity and cost me over $500 they use Florida California and Utah phones I called them to pay my bill and they got into everything my bank account and xfinity I lost days at work and everything because they were taking my money and the real company was not paid plus they caused me late fees and bogus attempts to make fake payments caused multiple charges on my account and I did not realize I paid scammers for 2 months. I’m not old and they didn’t target me. They list their phones so you call them and then they get your information including credit cards. By making bogus payments the real Xfinity turned my internet back on each time they did it and they said it was an outage every 3 days. They also mailed internet booster junk and they deserve to be shut down completely problem is they pretend to be xfinity so I had to get the real name from my bank statement and googled xfinity and cable net links comes up but they have xfinity linked making it look like they are affiliated and work with them.
