Scam??

One of MANY threatening emails saying my package was stopped at customs for containing “illegal substances” and that to get the charges cleared I have to pay $790 for “document fees” so that my package can not be searched at my states boarder. Thing is, I ordered CANDY. It was from someone on instagram, who now has their entire account deleted it. Was I actually sent something illegal other than what I ordered? Is this a scam or is something actually wrong? I thought it was a scam after the first email, but now they’re starting to freak me out. With the page taken down, I no longer have proof that I ordered candy and nothing illegal if this is actually something serious and the cops show up. They have my full name and address. Help?

Yo can you reply? They’re tryna say I’m getting jail time if I don’t pay for this [censored]. I never ordered anything illegal, I ordered candy. Was something other than the candy I ordered placed in the package to get me in trouble with the law? Or is this all a big scam all around. They will not stop emailing me and it’s starting to freak me out.

I’m dealing with the same stuff. They are saying if I don’t pay $890 I will me charge for attempting to smuggle illegal substances into my state. Please tell me this is a scam and I am not actually in trouble? It seems very sketchy and I am getting nowhere with emailing back and forth. What ever came of your situation?

Posed as a freight service denying delivery of a product I purchased online. Holding my parcel for ransom saying that I needed to send $520 for it to be released. I looked up the business websites, all had been suspended or taken down. Misspelling and threats were in the email. They also accidentally sent an email with another person's information. So they are scamming multiple people and scaring them.
