Avoid I was scammed by a company doing exacting what they are doing I am out $2625. No interview and the pay is too good to be true. They offered $700 a month a a $6000 monthly bonus for 15 hours of work a week.

Almost got fooled on this one, but glad I found this website. I applied for a part-time virtual assistant job on LinkedIn and received a request to send him my resume to his personal email. He replied with a very official email saying I got the job, no interview necessary. I would get paid $500/week for 5-11 hours of work (hmm) and bonuses monthly. I would get the money via wire transfer or direct deposit.

They have an official website and even a LinkedIn page! I almost got tricked but something just didn’t seem right, and that’s when I found this page.

This person targeted me on Indeed for a Virtual assistant job. His email was pretty official and had a company website included. I was still hesitant so I asked to speak to him on the phone. This is when he asked me to open an account so they could deposit funds. But I wasn't comfortable with that, I then asked him to send me a check and I would deposit it myself. He sent me the check and as soon as I tell him I have received the check he calls me every hour asking if I have deposited it... He continues to ask me to deposit the check in the atm... But I wanted to call my bank to see what could really be going on.. The bank told me scammers usually ask you to deposit funds into an account, which takes 2-3 days, and make people use all the money before the bank actually verifies the money is real, which takes 5 days... He calls me right after I e deposit the check, and says "NOOOO you should have just cashed it at the ATM" and thats when I knew..

Posted a job on LinkedIn and after I applied he messaged me asking me to send him my resume to his personal email. Almost immediately after sending this over to him, he replied that I had gotten the job and sent a long description of my job duties telling me I started first thing next Monday. He also stated that, since this was a part time position, no interview was necessary. Then followed up by saying if you accept this position, reply with a brief letter of acceptance my cell phone number. Payment was to be $500/week with "a monthly bonus of $4,000 that he would explain later," that would be paid by wire transfer or mobile check deposit/direct deposit.

Once I got this email, I knew it was a scam so I didn't even reply.

Got an email asking if I had gotten his previous message and I honestly hadn't as I hadn't checked my e-mail at all til that one message. He then asked me for my resume and I sent it to him and he sent me a long message about the job.
