Type of a scam Online Purchase
Once I ordered, I received an email confirming my purchase with an Amazon logo in the email and a tracking number from a shipping company called 17Track/Uniexpress. The email was from amazsaleboxus • [email protected].
Turns out that the shipment came from outside the US. When it did arrive, the box was about the size of a paperback book and contained a 3-in-1 charging cable that looked like it came from the dollar store and a generic pair of in ear headphones.
I reached out to the support email . They responded that what I received would be all I would receive and that "you will have a 10% chance to get an item worth 2 times the purchase parice, a 15% chance to get an item worth 1.5 times the purchase value, and an 80% chance to get an item equal to the purchase value.". So, that is 105% for chances and the items I received definitely were not the $59.99 value I paid for. They also offered me a 15% refund.
I will be reporting this company to both Amazon and PayPal, and this report as well.
