Advance America Loan contacted me 3/18/25 after applying online for a loan and my information went out to 13 (and counting) different companies and I an still getting calls all day 3/16/25, 3/17/25 and Advance America called me 3/18/25 this morning and again this evening by phone stating that I was approved for $5000. The person identifying himself as Advance America Loan proceeding to discuss this loan and the process and stated that he would transfer me to his manger and his manager went over the loan. Since I had put all of my banking information out there he had everything and he said he needed to make a small deposit to make sure it went through and then he wanted me to withdraw over the amount and send it to him and when he said that I knew he was a scammer and I said the nearest ATM was 45 minutes away and then I said if I am approved for $5000 why do I need to withdraw more than you put in and he said well it is for credit repair and I said that I don't need credit repair and that I am not doing that and he said well just wait and let me call you back in 20 minutes and I am sure we can still give you the $5000. I contacted my credit union to let them know that it was a scammer that has accessed my account, it was closed and I will get a new debit card.
