I am concerned I will be potential victim of the recorded "Yes" scam. Received a call on my cell phone 2/12/2017 at 5:19 PM East Coast time from the number 925-946-1119. It said it was coming from Walnut Creek, CA. I later confirmed 925 is area code for Walnut Creek, CA. When I answered "Hello" a male voice said my first name. I answered "Yes, who is this?" They said "oh I must have the wrong number; is this and provided a number that was one digit (last digit) wrong of my actual phone number?" I, in hindsight, stupidly said no and gave them the number they had called essentially confirming my cell number to whoever called. They instantly hung up. Maybe it was legitimately a wrong number called but when I described what happened to my wife she was instantly suspicious and made me aware of the recorded "Yes" scam as she had recently heard about it on the news. Researching that scam on-line it recommended that any suspicion to report it to the ScamPulse.com. Hence this contact.
