I was in the market for buying a puppy and I got scammed for it. They send me a fake tracking website and said that my puppy was on hold in Oklahoma and that in order to get him out I needed to pay $400 in insurance fee that was “refundable”. They said they were in collaboration with USPS for the delivery but could not provide a tracking number for usps.

I put a search in for mini dachshund puppies in florida.

https://harvarettdachshundpuppies.com/available-puppies/ is one of the sites that i looked on and communicated with, within this site response link. (email?). In doing this i selected a puppy filled out the other information and i received information about payment. I don't remember the exact names but pretty much wanted me to put money on a gift card to pay with. I remember $150.00 of payment was specified for shipping.

Facebook group showing boxers for sale, responded via messenger; showed puppy options; had to give money to reserve puppy; decided to have puppy delivered. On day of delivery the delivery company contacted via text message and needed additional funds for transport for a crate, for insurance, for special stamps--all refundable charges per the delivery person. Had to use cash or paypal for all transactions, could not use a credit card. Once all of those funds were delivered they said the puppy was en route; then texted that the puppy was sick and needed to be vaccinated and that would cost an additional $700 which the breeder would pay part and we would owe $300. At that point as we had nothing showing the puppy and had already sent a lot of money that we did not expect to owe we told them to send us the puppy or refund the money; they refused to do either.

I found "Happy" online at the Border Collies Ranch website. I was contacted by someone calling himself Thomas Richmond and said he would ship the dog from Oklahoma for $1,000 total. He needed me to sign an agreement. After some reverse imaging online of the dog and finding his story about getting a border collie at age 10 named Liam I realized this was a scam. I told him it was and why was he saying there located in Oklahoma. He said it was an auto-correct that he is in Colorado, He said he's a Christian and would never do that to anyone and someone must have stolen his website materials but he is legit. After 2 more days of him explaining there was no risk because I didn't have to give the Apple Pay (Apple Cash) until I received the shipping confirmation. I told him I wanted to FaceTime with the dog and so he called me and let me see the puppy running around for a few seconds with what looked like to be the dad from the photos and then we had a bad connection. I signed the agreement and he sent the shipping confirmation and everything seemed legit. I called the shipping company GF Shipping (Oklahoma City, OK) but no one answered and there was just a regular voicemail beep no company message. I was just about to go ahead and go through the transaction but I decided to send a message to the Apple Pay phone number he gave for his financial cashier? I asked if they were the cashier for Border Collie Ranch and they said no. Thomas or whoever he is called me 10 more times telling to go ahead and make the payment. Please don't be fooled by this scam!

They wanted me to send to a personal account at first, then they say their credit card site is down and their website is a .buzz

It's weird that you dropped off a puppy in a carrier that is apparently not safe to fly in so I can get another puppy that's like 2 hours from my house.

I did pay them via Zelle when I was getting Wiggle registered. They told me their credit card website is under maintenance.

Why can't you refund me? You didn't provide an approved crate. If you don't want to refund me, then you can use the money I sent you to secure a create. If you don't want to to do that, then refund me.

“My Harrison Maltipoo Family” Claimed to be a reputable teacup maltipoo breeder. Found their website on internet. I filled out application/interest form. They contacted me first via text message from cell number (304) 438-9072. They then said contact them only via email. They sent me email with 1 video and 4 pictures of puppy we were interested in purchasing. I asked for them to arrange a live/real time virtual call with me so I could see the puppy. They constantly avoided the question and answered other questions. I asked them to provide a valid address and phone number in Cody, WY and told them i would fly out to see the puppy in person first and pay for them in person. All communication ended after that. After searching ScamPulse.com scam tracker site, I found several pet scam cases for maltipoos where the company name was very similar and dollar amount $700 - $900. Scammer just changed the family name on website. Wallace and Weis were previous names used in scam.

Scammer was in contact with me for the first day and sent images of the pups that seemed real. Then talked about sister needing money and asked for more money and was very persistent. When the day came around for us to meet I never received another reply and phone calls didn’t go through.

This person tried adding more and more onto flight fees. The puppy was only $500. I already got my Rottweiler and he’s the sweetest. I have screenshots of everything. I felt like a fool, however after seeing and reading about this happening a lot, I realized that I’m not the only one here who has this happen to them. This did happen on 9/1/2019. I did tell him I wanted my money back and he seemed to not care. I have phone numbers, emails

, my transactions. I’ve got my text messages. I’ll upload what I can.

We attempted to purchase a puppy from this "Breeder" They Refused to take out verified paypal payment, demanding that we pay as friends and family, we refused to do this and they said they would not give us the puppy after we placed the deposit unless we paid friends and family, we did not feel as if this was legitimate business practice and told them no, they stated they would refund out money, but they have not, so we are out not only our money but also the puppy that was to have been a Christmas gift for our children

I purchased a puppy for $700 on line and the dog was never delivered. A contract was signed and the puppy was transported by Pet Thriver Logistics which has cost me $1900. The puppy is in Edmonton and while under their care has now come down with a digestive issue which requires surgery and another $1700. I have never received said puppy and she is still available on the Von Klaus German Shepherd's web site.

Don't purchase any dogs from them especially when you are not feeling well, I am such a fool.

I found a puppy, Josie, on this website, durhamslabradorretreivers.com. Had a nice exchange with ******** ******* ****** and they seemed legitimate. Until my bank called because their Zelle transaction history was suspicious and the bank thankfully cancelled the transaction. The scammer then got heated and called me profanities, threatened to shoot my home (they have my address), and claimed to be part of a gang, *****. The same exact photo of this puppy was also on another website, Raleigh Labs.

They were going to sell me a tea cup Chihuahua for $600. An that included the shipping. I paid her the first installment and she said great, I’ll get the paperwork together and tell you when she’s on her way then you can send me the rest of the payment by PayPal. 2 hours before she was to get here I got an email stating that her crate was not excepted for her “next” flight, and I needed to pay $3,500 for a new crate or rent one for $1,000. But I could pay in bitcoin. I then realized I had been scammed. I called the State police and called PayPal and they told me the money did not go to Wisconsin, it went to South Africa. There is a Vermont state police case pending. I hope this will help anyone else from getting scammed from these people.

All Facebook messaging said we would meet and get a puppy. We were supposed to meet in Nebraska. Harrison Thomas was the seller and a no show at the designated time. I attempted to contact him several times and multiple ways. At 1AM I got a message that he would see me the next day but didn't give no meet time or place. I contacted him several times for a refund. He stated he would give my money back ($850) but it's been 4 days and nothing. I think I've been scammed.

Website selling puppies had a "contact us" form, which I filled out to inquire if a certain puppy was available. I was texted back, then emailed with detailed information and pictures/videos of the chosen puppies. We arranged for a puppy to be shipped to me in California in a few days. I transferred $900 via Zelle in 2 installments, as he said sometimes there is an issue with a large amount being transferred at once. The morning of the alleged shipping date I got an email from a fake shipping company called Safe Logistics Agency telling me the puppy was at the airport ready to ship, waiting for me to transfer money for a required Pet Shipping Insurance Policy through Petsecure for $970, which would be refunded upon delivery of the puppy at my home. They instructed me to do a bank transfer via Paypal and choose the Friends and Family payment option. I texted, then called the person I had been in contact with since the beginning at each number (there were 2 phone numbers), and there was no answer at either, though he texted me from one number and said he could not speak with me until he was off work at 5 pm. I told him I would like to pick up the dog instead. He responded by saying that the dog was already at the airport and the shipping company only has a once a day courier schedule, and the dog would have to stay at the airport overnight and incur another $500 charge or more for this delay. I asked him his address and he gave me: 7222 N 15th Place, Phoenix, AZ. I asked him to refund the money I sent already and I would pick up the puppy in person and pay him cash at that time. No response.

These scammers are using puppies to scam you. They made it look like the site is legit, and the puppies are real. They send you documents that they have transferred ownership and a shipping plan.

I was looing online for puppy, they reached out by text saying they have puppy available for $1000 ready to go home today. I said I will not be sending any money until I can verify the puppies either in Person or by Video chat. I asked to video chat they said they dont have the apps and can only send current pictures at this time. That I can send $1000 and they can send puppy by delivery. I again said I will see them in person, and pay cash they said they only take credit card. Would not provide address or video of puppies. I stopped conversation at that point and said they sound like a scammer and that I was going to report them. They said go ahead and thats it.

Received texts and emails with puppy pictures but no physical address location, or name of individual contact. The phone number provided from text messages only rings endlessly with no answer. The webpage states they are located in Cody, WY and the phone number is a DOUGLAS, WY phone number.
